Carl Shulman is a Research Fellow at the Singularity Institute for Artificial Intelligence, where his research focuses on the possible consequences of different routes to machine intelligence, and the use of currently available data, e.g. from evolutionary history, to better estimate their feasibility.

 Previously, he worked at Clarium Capital Management, a global macro hedge fund, and at the law firm Reed Smith LLP. He attended New York University School of Law and holds a BA in philosophy from Harvard University.

    I was wondering what you believe, with all of your present knowledge, will most likely happen in regards to the future of our technology, as it increases will we as humans also? But be surpassed by these supercomputers?

    Your input is appreciated, as I’m a learner, Senior in high school just trying to figure out the world.
