Fast Forward: Data to the Rescue

In this edition of Fast Forward, author, consultant, and executive advisor Jill Dyché talks about her non-profit Outta the Cage, which is dedicated to identifying animals at risk for euthanasia in high-kill shelters and ultimately finding them homes.

How can data analysis play a role in protecting these at-risk animals, and in addressing other challenges far from the office or board room?

Let’s explore.

Jill Dyché is a management consultant and executive advisor, who guides her clients through the change that accompanies innovation. She writes, speaks, and consults with organizations on the interrelationship of strategy, analytics, and data. Jill was co-founder of Baseline Consulting, where clients like Verizon, Microsoft, HSBC, and Sony relied on her guidance for analytics and data strategy. Baseline was acquired by SAS Institute in 2012.

In addition to her articles and blog posts, Jill is the author of four books on the business value of technology. Her latest, The New IT, profiles business executives who have disrupted corporate IT. The New IT was named one of Inc’s “60 Great Business and Leadership Books Written by Women.” In addition to her consulting work, Jill is the founder of “Outta the Cage,” a non-profit focused on saving high-risk shelter dogs.
